About Regional Facilities Auckland
Regional Facilities Auckland (RFA) is a council-controlled organisation of Auckland Council, established to manage and develop some of the city's most important arts, culture, heritage, sport, and entertainment facilities. As the steward of venues that collectively welcome millions of visitors each year, RFA plays a vital role in Auckland's cultural infrastructure, economic vitality, and community wellbeing.
The organisation's portfolio includes Auckland Live (The Civic, Aotea Centre, Auckland Town Hall, Bruce Mason Centre), Auckland Zoo, Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, Auckland Stadiums (Mt Smart Stadium, Western Springs Stadium), Auckland Conventions, and the New Zealand Maritime Museum. Each facility operates with its own distinctive identity and programming, while benefiting from the shared operational expertise, strategic direction, and governance that RFA provides.
Governance & Leadership
RFA is governed by an independent board of directors appointed by Auckland Council.
